  2. BIG CITY USER'S GUIDE
  3. ---------------------
  4. All documentation assumes you have a basic understanding of how to use your computer 
  5. and the programs you have purchased for it.
  6.   
  7. BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  8. ------------------
  9. Dynamic Graphics images require application(s) that are compatible with the EPS file 
  10. format.  EPS images are saved using Adobe Illustrator as version 1.1 compatible 
  11. files.  Any other hardware requirements will be based primarily on the applications 
  12. you use and the type of final output you plan to produce.  
  13.  
  14. For best results, your printer should be PostScript compatible.
  15.  
  16. USING THE ARTWORK ON THIS CD
  17. ----------------------------
  18. PAGE LAYOUT PROGRAMS:
  19. Open your page layout program.  Create a new document and PLACE the EPS files as you 
  20. would any other images. The following page layout programs are compatible with the 
  21. EPS format:
  22.  - Adobe PageMaker
  23.  - QuarkXPress
  24.  - Corel Publisher
  25.  
  26. DRAW PROGRAMS:
  27. Open your draw program, then use the OPEN or IMPORT command under the FILE menu.  
  28. When the dialog box appears choose the "Adobe Illustrator" option under "FILES OF 
  29. TYPE", then choose the file you wish to edit. The following draw programs are 
  30. compatible with the EPS file format:
  31.  - Adobe Illustrator (Open)
  32.  - Macromedia FreeHand (Open)
  33.  - Deneba Canvas (Open)
  34.  - CorelDRAW! (Import)
  35.  
  36. PAINT PROGRAMS:
  37. EPS files will be converted to bitmap images when opened in the following programs.  
  38. Upon opening, you will be prompted for the file size and dpi.  Make sure you choose 
  39. the correct size and dpi for your finished piece of artwork. 
  40.  - Adobe Photoshop
  41.  - Corel PHOTO-PAINT
  42.  
  43. If your application was not listed above, please refer to your manual for 
  44. compatibility.

  46. ULEAD BROWSER
  47. -------------  
  48. The Ulead Browser catalog contains thumbnails of all the images in this package. 
  49. Please read the README.TXT file in the ALBUM folder for more information about the 
  50. Ulead Browser.
